11/11/07 - Visit to the Hollyvale Stud of Les and Sally Robinson and Jane Withers. We had a fantastic morning viewing the superb section B's and riding ponies of the Hollyvale Stud.
Thrilled and excited do not express the feelings we have here at Ty Golau at the moment. We are to have Hollyvale Glimpse here on lease to start a new venture - the establishment of the Section B's. This impeccably bred young mare will hopefully be shown as a barren mare and later with foal at foot. Pictures and pedigree to follow.
10/11/07 - Wales and Borders Foal and Youngstock Show. Judge C Gibbins Rhydspence. Gemstone President stood 2nd in the Section A colt foal class and Tyntyla Osian was 2nd in the section C yearling colt class.
4/11/07 - Glamorgan Foal and Youngstock show. Judge C. Cobbley Tryfel. President was 5th in the section A colt foal class And Tyntyla Osian was first Section C yearling Colt and Reserve Champion.
9/09/07 We have a new arrival!! Amongst the start of lambing we have a new pony - Brynrodyn Llewelyn ap Sion has come to join us here at Ty Golau. We look forward to using him next year and perhaps to getting him out into the show ring. He has sired truly stunning foals in Germany for his previous owners the Siemers Family at Leybucht Stud [ pictures can be seen on their website www.weshgestuet-leybuchst.de ] We have high hopes that he will cross well on the TyG mares.
Pictures below are just after arriving from Germany. Many Thanks to Owen, Nebo Stud, for taking such good care of him.
More pictures and his pedigree are on the Stallion Page.

1/09/07 Where to start? The past two months have been very busy and very difficult to deal with.
Firstly, the declaration of the foot and mouth out break curtailed any showing, until we knew that it was contained, and did not pose a risk to the stock on the farm. The sheep that were to be taken to Sales obviously didn't go because of the ban on livestock movements. One of the guilts died suddenly and it took many phone calls to Defra and 10 days to dispose of her - all this the week end foot and mouth was declared!
Secondly, hay making was severely delayed due to the weather - contractors eventually made 50 big bales of haylage and I made over 1000 mini-round bales of hay and haylage with the help of Carole and Glyn, family and friends.
Thirdly and definitely the most cruel of all was the devastating loss of Jemima. My vet and the vets at Bristol Vet College did all they could to help her but sadly it was not meant to be and Jem lost her short battle for life. I owe this little mare so much and it is very hard to write about her in the past tense. Words can't explain how we all feel here. Her colt by Waitwith Chico will not now be going to the sales as the trauma has obviously taken it's toll on him. Fortunately he was already eating well so this has minimised the stress of losing mum a little for him.
RIP Waitwith Jemima 2001 - 2007.
23/06/07 A few updates to the For Sale page - some difficult decisions made, and a new page added to the site St. Bridget's Poll Dorset Sheep.

17/06/07 Blaenavon Silver Medal Show [Mr G Berry] - Polaris Lacecap's turn for a party today! A crisp day but the rain held off. Lacey was having great fun at the start of the class, showing off to the Section C stallions, but as the ring quietened down she seemed to loose interest when the other mares didn't want to "play". Still, a creditable fourth out of nine on her first outing since a yearling mustn't be complained about. Sadly no pictures, I forgot the camera!!
2/06/07 I actually had the camera ready today when the girls went out to play. By girls I mean Ty Golau Crystal and Tyntyla Seren Goch. I think you would agree they certainly seemed to be having fun!!

1/06/07 After staying up all last night watching Jemima on the camera, she foaled this afternoon at 2.30 pm. A very flashy chestnut colt by Waitwith Chico. Pictures on the foal page.
Updated pics of the filly foals on foal page also.
28/5/07 Crystal enjoyed her first party yesterday at NPS Area 29. No prizes but "Mission accomplished" - she did all that was asked of her so very pleasing!!
Pictures arrived today from Heniarth Stud of Ty Golau Cinderella enjoying the West Wales sunshine with her mum and "Uncle" Quip. See the foal page for pictures.
22/5/07 As you can tell by the lack of updates things have been a little hectic here to say the least! Two more Tyntyla foals and another Ty Golau foal have arrived, pictures on the Foal Page, and we now only have one more Ty Golau mare to foal and 5 ewes left to lamb!!
Amongst all this Carole and I took a trip to Kinnerton near Chester to collect Wilkrick Eleri and foal Eleanor from Jacqui Jones of the Barracks Stud. Many thanks Jacqui - she has settled in so well you would think she had been here all her life! A not very good picture of them is on the mares page.
13/4/07 We have a foal!!!! Waitwith Cloe produced a filly foal in the early hours of this morning. Chestnut at the moment, may go grey. Details on foal page.
11/4/07 Still no foal, but the ewes started lambing this morning...... a set of twins and a single, all ewe lambs.... looks like more future replacements!
Well, being a little bored of staring at a tv screen I took my camera outside for a few minutes with Lacey [Polaris Lacecap] just for Helen, Runshaw Stud. Results below and on the mares page.

9/4/07 Yet another lovely sunny day! Catrin has come into the barn to foal and Sian and her filly foal are enjoying some time out in the field in the sunshine. Piccies on the foal page!
Cloe is bagged up and yawning - perhaps she isn't going to go to her date yet again!!
4/4/07 A lovely sunny day so the cattle and two yearlings were turned out. New piccies on the youngstock page for Crystal and Piper.
The barn has been cleaned out in readiness for the mares to come home in the next day or two. Then the camera will be up and I can observe from the comfort of my sitting room ..... I hope!!
4/03/07 I finally plucked up the courage to get to grips with the website and, following a few hitches, some of the pages have been updated. Starting to get quite excited now, looking forward to the arrival of this years crop of foals.
Mares covered for this year are listed on the foal page. Some of the mares are covered to foal later in the year.
Schedules have started to arrive and plans are being made for which ponies are to be shown this year. Potentially a very busy show season ahead. Can I stick the pace I ask myself??
2006
Appologies for the lack of updates last year. I'm afraid that I just couldn't face getting the computer repaired as it had always been Mike's job.
2005
29/05/05 NPS Area 29 [Judge Meirion Davies, Heniarth] Charlie was again ably shown by Carole Tyntyla Stud to win his class, under judge Meirion Davies, with Rosmarche Harlequin in second, reversing the placings of Cotswold Spring Show, and Dukeshill Pizzazz in third.
It was a good day all round when Carole showed her section C mare, Tyntyla Catrin into first place and I did the honours with Catrin's as yet unnamed colt foal to win his class also.

Ty Golau Champagne Charlie
Tyntyla Catrin
28/05/05 Pontypool Show [Judge John Hendy, Cledwyn] A well behaved Charlie produced a foot perfect show to win his class under judge Mr John Hendy. Not bad for only his third ever show, having already gained a 4th and a 2nd on his previous outings.

6/05/05 Cloe has produced a stunning Chestnut colt to Forlan Honey Wizard [Springbourne Caraway x Forlan Welsh Honey by evel Torc] Although he is three weeks early he is definitely all there and beautifully marked as well! Photo's on the foal page.
22/04/05 Be has produced a beautiful filly by Tryfel Birthday Boy, Ty Golau Grace. Born at approx. 11 am, but due to Orange network problems I didn't find out about her birth until 2.45pm. Photo's now up on the Foal Page.
17/04/05 The suspense is killing me at the moment ..... Brabyn's Glory Be is due to foal any day now and I'm watching her like a hawk!! Waitwith Cloe has come into the barn as company for Be and is also bagging up so it looks like she may have held to the first service to Forlan Honey Wizard after all.
The fillies moved to their spring grazing today ... not that you would think it is Spring now though as it is teeming down here at the moment!
9/04/05 Cotswold Association Spring Show [Forest of Dean] Judge Mr Billy Collins, Penual. The experience gained the previous week resulted in a more exuberant show from a visibly more confident Charlie, to stand second behind the Rosmarch colt of Mrs Bandy [USA].
3/04/05 Charlie made his debut at Glamorgan Association Spring Show. He behaved well and gave a good show to stand 4th in a very strong class. Very pleased with him for his first show especially when he had taken all the preparations so well. hanks to Carole for showing him.
12/3/05 Through the extreme generosity of Sally Davies Ochorbryn Suzie and Pristine Amethyst have come to join us here at the Ty Golau Stud. They have settled in well with our happy band. Thanks also to Mair for the cross country tour!! Pics and pedigrees will soon be available on the mares and youngstock pages respectively.
10/03/05 The long awaited arrival of Runshaw Superstar was all I had anticipated and more. I had long admired this colt and when Helen offered him to me on lease I just could not resist, even if I did get an ear-bashing from Mike!! Many Thanks to Helen and all at Runshaw for entrusting this gorgeous chap to me. Let's hope we can make you a proud mummy! Pics and pedigree will soon be available on the Youngstock page.
January 2005 Dukeshill Desert Wind joined us from Derbyshire. Many thanks to Ceri and Kim for letting him come to us on his holidays. He has settled in well and is enjoying our fresh sea air.
2004
18/12/04 We welcomed some visitors to the stud today, Sheila Johnsey and George and Peggy Ball of the Wilcrick and Ableton studs respectively. They brought some sunny, dry weather with them which the foals enjoyed immensely when they came out to give their shows. It was a pity that I didn't get the camera out as they certainly excelled themselves. They also left for home with some of our homegrown, traditional Poll Dorset lamb! We hope that you enjoyed your visit, we certainly enjoyed your company, and that you will also enjoy the lamb!!
5/12/04 Well, my inspection in school is now over and I'm back in the land of the living so to speak!! The pics of Desert Wind are now available to view on the Stallion Page as is his pedigree by clicking on the picture. There are also pedigrees available for the stallions that have been used by the stud recently and hopefully some pictures of them once permissions have been obtained.
24/11/04 I am thrilled [understatement of the year!!!] to announce that the superbly bred performance stallion Dukeshill Desert Wind will be joining us here at Ty Golau for the 2005 season. Many, Many Thanks to Ceri and Kim for entrusting "Des" to me. Look out for the stunning pics of Des on the Stallion Page in the near future.
09/04 Everything now goes on hold here after Fayre Oaks as I have an inspection on 29th of November....seems like a long way away but the heat is rising!!
21/08/04 Bedwellty Agricultural Show. [Mr B. Davies, Talgoed Stud] Be and Georgie were not really to Mr Davies' likeing [Be 6th and Georgie 4th moved up from last], but Jemima made the day worthwhile by coming second in the 2 & 3yr old class.

14/08/04 Vaynor Show. Jemima gave an excellent show to win her class under judge Mr V Pearce [Windmill Stud].
8/08/04 Avon and Borders Association Summer Medal Show. Another scorcher of a day!!! This time I decided to take Charity for an outing, but as I hadn't entered her for the section A classes we went for the M&M classes in the afternoon, judged by Miss Fiona Leadbitter of the Thornberry Stud. I was chuffed when Charity won her 1-3yrs small M&M class and then made the dash around the rings for the potential lead rein class, where she stood second, beaten by Mrs L Partridge who went on to be reserve of that section. Next was the Championship of the M&M section, which also included unregistered M&M's, coloureds, palomino's, Arabs, Anglo-Arabs and part bred's where I was thrilled that Charity and I duly took the Reserve Championship!!!
7/08/04 Brecon Show. Decided to make the trip to Brecon at the last minute...well 5am to be exact, as we had a family birthday party on the Friday night!! so bathed Jemima but left Be and Georgie at home, which proved to be a wise decision as it was so very hot!! Jemima did not seem to suit Mrs Howells, Gleiniant, but she did stand above the RWAS winning 3yr old filly!!
1/08/04 National Welsh & Welsh Part-Bred Championship Show. The long trip to Shrewsbury necessitated a very early start to the day...2am in fact!!.... but it was a very rewarding trip...Jemima won the 2 and 3yr old filly class, Be was 5th in the Broodmare class and Georgie won the foal class.....every pony coming home with a super rosette. Many thanks to Ray for showing Be, the organisers for all their hard work putting the show on and also to judge Mr Mitchell, Llanchwyth.

25/07/04 Cotswold Association Medal Show. Jemima didn't want to play today, perhaps too soon after RWAS or feeling the fact that she is in foal, but we still managed to gain a creditable 3rd under Judge Mrs Sheila Johnsey, behind two beautiful fillies- the first belonging to Mr John Collerick, I believe by Heniarth Quip, and the second the prolific winner Glebedale Savannah.
20 and 21/07/04 Royal Welsh Show. [Mr Geraint Jones, Nebo] After a 3 am start on Tuesday Be and Georgie made their seasonal debut in the Senior broodmare class, where I was thrilled to see Be "make the cut" with her old "partner in crime" Ray Hoskins showing her. No mean feat when you realise that they had only been stabled for 10 days prior to the show and that Georgie had had a halter on for the first time just 5 days before the show!! What a testament to the temperament of Quip foals!!! Georgie gained many admiring glances from Mr Jones, as well as favourable comments from other competitors. Be stood 17th and Georgie was half way along the second row.
Another 3am start, but this time with Charity and Jemima. Charity was rather full of herself during her initial trot and did not make the cut with Ray, but she was later found to be in season, so we will allow her this blip on her otherwise exemplary record!!
I decided, at the last minute, that I would show Jemima myself, as she had been going well for me at home,...but that ring was a HUGELY daunting prospect for me with a less than perfect knee!! When we set off on our trot and the crowd roared, frightening Jemima half to death, she broke, but soon settled to give what felt like a powerful show, but you can judge for yourselves in the picture below by kind permission of Janneke de Rade. I was enjoying myself so much that a kind person in the crowd shouted to me to stop as the steward was calling me in to the front row!!!! WE WERE IN!!!!! I never thought that it would happen!!! That in itself felt like winning!!! Sadly a mix up at the end of the judging meant that we missed a rosette by two places. What a debut to make in the RWAS ring though, with two ponies, produced from home, staying in the ring for judging!!

27/06/04 Gwent Area Medal Show. Again a good show....Jemima and Carole stand 2nd under Mr Gareth Price, Littlewern.
Photo by kind permission of Goytre Photographic Services
20/06/04 Blaenavon Medal Show. Jemima and Carole gave a good show to stand 3rd under Mrs Parry, Pantycoed.
6/06/04 Wales and Borders Show. After an over keen start to the class Lacecap settled to give a better individual show and was pulled up to third!!! A fantastic result considering the start she had to the season!!! Many thanks to judge Leslie Hilliard and also to Carole, Tyntyla Stud, for having the patience of a saint!!!
30/05/04 NPS Area 29 Show. [ Judge Lottie Abrahall Flydon ] This time Polaris Lacecap seemed to have more of an idea what this showing business is all about and gave a faultless performance to be pulled in second. I was chuffed that she had actually given a show, which was the aim of this trip, so when she was later dropped to fifth, which was a little disappointing as neither pony or handler [Thanks Carole!!!] had done anything wrong, it really didn't matter that much as the objective for that day had been achieved........ a show!!!!
26/05/04 Polaris Ulma has foaled a colt to Polaris Starbright by Penual Mark. A lovely chestnut roan who at less than 24 hours old looks to have super movement!!
8/05/04 It's a girl!!!! First foal by our own promising young stallion Waitwith Chico out of Waitwith Beauty. A beautiful Chestnut filly with what looks to be four whites!!! Well done Chico!!!!
5/05/04 They're coming fast and furious now!!! Lowden Seren Y Nos has had a very flashy sabino chestnut roan filly to the beautifully bred young stallion Fosterhouses Supersam by Coed Coch Superstar. Already had enquiries to buy her and she isn't yet an hour old!!!
4/05/04 Brabyns Glory Be has produced a stunning bay filly to the superb ridden stallion Heniarth Quip. I think this one might have to stay!!Pictures on the Foal Page.
1/05/04 Glanusk Stallion Show. After a very early start and a long wait on the box [ more than 6hrs in total ] Waitwith Jemima produced a lovely show to take second place in the 3yr old filly class. A fantastic result for only a second season showing and a pony produced from home!!!!!! Thank you to judge Mrs Carol Jones [Weston], Carole Anderson, Tyntyla Stud for showing Jemima so well and also to Dr Wynne Davies for his lovely comments about Jemima.
30/04/04 Cloe's done it again!!! For the third year on the trot she's foaled on 30th April. This year she's produced a beautiful colt foal by Dukeshill Magnum. Picture on the foal page.
12/04/04 Easter Monday and a trip to Avon Spring Show with Polaris Lacecap for her first show ever. Well, a not too auspicious start to her showing career as Lacey decided that, eventhough she was more than happy to show off outside with her tail over her back and moving like a train, she was not going to play in the indoor school!!! She seemed to think that the surface would make a nice bed to roll on.....not that she actually did but..... May be we'll try her later on outdoors.
19/02/04 The sunshine welcomed two visitors to the stud today, Kathy and Joanna Sheil of Dukeshill Stud who came to pick up some Poll Dorset ewe lambs and of course have a look at the ponies!! We hope that you enjoyed your visit, as we certainly enjoyed having you, and that the ewe lambs will do well for you!
24/01/04 All the ponies are now at their winter grazings and looking very muddy with all the rain we've had. The foals are doing well and may be out this year at some point. It will soon be time to decide on which ponies to show this year!!!! I've been busy with my camera so look out for some updated pictures in the near future.
1/12/03 The Welsh Winter Fair at Builth Wells. A fantastic result for Crusader, 4th [pulled in 3rd], has crowned what has been a fantastic first full season of showing for the Ty Golau Stud. All did not quite go according to plan though, as Adam very nearly did the splits on the first corner!! Undetered they went on to produce a good show for judge Miss Joanna Sheil, Dukeshill. Many thanks both to Miss Sheil and the show organisers.
Stop Press Jemima wins medal and Supreme at Avon
2/11/03 At only her second show ever, Waitwith Jemima, ably shown by Adam Fletcher, gave an absolutely stunning show to take her class, Section A Champion, Welsh Youngstock Champion and then Supreme of Show at Avon Association Foal and Youngstock Show, getting better and better with each show that she gave. A truly thrilling day! Many Thanks to all concerned for such a well organised show at a great venue.
16/11/03 The Midland Association Foal Show. Crusader put in another good performance to stand third under Mrs Kilbey, Idyllic Stud. Many thanks to all those who worked so hard to put the show together.
9/11/03 The Cotswold Association Foal Show at Hartpury College. Crusader put in a stunning show to stand third under Mrs Evans, Pantycoed Stud. Many thanks to the organisers for a good day.
25/10/03 The Welsh National Foal Show. Crusader was very full of himself and did not give his best show, but still achieved ninth place in a large class.
11/10/03 The Severn Valley Association Foal Show. An extremely early start from home, at 5am, after having done the ponies, to arrive at Adam Fletcher and Callie Stein's house at 6.30am and then the journey to Rhayader, was well worthwhile when Crusader won the colt class and was reserve Champion A foal to the Frongoch filly of Emma and her mum!! Many thanks to all concerned for the terrific organisation and lovely indoor school and also for being so kind as to hold the championship while Adam was engaged elsewhere!!
28/09/03 The Polaris stud reduction was certainly an experience for me. I did not have a catalogue prior to the sale as I had not intended to buy any more ponies. However, I found myself hankering after certain blood lines and falling in love with a certain filly foal. The photo's below were taken on 1/10/03.
Polaris Ulma [10 yr old mare] and colt foal Polaris Lacecap - filly Foal
26/09/03 Fayre Oaks Sale. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend the Friday sale but arrived in the nick of time for the Gala sale on the Friday evening. I class myself as very fortunate to have been able to purchase the stunning filly Waitwith Jemima, even if my heart was in my mouth at the time, and it was without the benefit of Pimms!!!!!
Stop Press Lowden Seren Y Nos Wins Medal !!!!
13/09/03 Superbly shown by Adam Fletcher and Callie Stein, Seren gave a stunning show to take the medal under Mr Berry, Bettws.
28/08/03 Monmouth Show [ Silver Medal Show] Crusader puts in another excellent show to win the foal class under judge Mr Michell, Senny. Millie stood 4th in the 2/3yr old class [Mr Michell ] and after a very swift plaiting session 5th in the Hunter Pony Breeding class under Mrs S. Seward.
Photo's by kind permission of Mrs A Hopkins
25/08/03 Pontardulais Silver Medal show - judge Mr John Hendy. Cloe wasn't entered in the Mare class so Carole Anderson, Tyntylla Stud showed Crusader in the foal class whilst Adam took care of Cloe. With well known breeders having already highly successful foals in the class I was understandably apprehensive of Crusader's chances. I needn't have worried though because, under Carole's expert handling, Crusader won his class and went on to stand Reserve Champion Welsh Foal. Well done Carole and Crusader!!!!
16/08/03 Bedwellty Show [Bronze Medal] - judge Mr E Prosser. Cloe gave a good show to win her Novice Mare class and Crusader stood 3rd in the foal class to Chris, Marrie and Michael Cobley's RWAS winning foal Tryfel Dynamite. Millie went well in the 2/3yr old class to stand 4th.
13/08/03 St Mellons Show [Bronze Medal]- Judge Mrs L Hilliyard. Cloe and Crusader made the short trip to Tredegar House for their afternoon classes. Both ponies were expertly shown by Carole Anderson, Tyntylla Stud resulting in Cloe standing 3rd in the Broodmare class and Crusader 2nd in the foal class
10/08/03 Avon Association Summer Medal Show. After a perplexing start to the day Charity and Mark Tamplin had a superb show. They won the M&M small breeds youngstock class, picking up a special rosette for the highest placed yearling into the bargain. In the potential leadrein class they gave their first show and then had to hot-foot it to the championship of their section where they went on to stand Reserve Section Champion. A huge achievement when you consider that this section had 5 M&M classes and included coloureds, palominos, Arabs, Anglo-Arabs and part-breds. On their return to the potential leadrein class they stood second, again highest placed yearling. Thank you Mark for a superb day!!
09/08/03 Stop Press!! Bengad Rumex, owned by Gillian and Tom Farrow, Waitwith Stud and sire of Ty Golau Crusader, Qualifies for Olympia!!!
Many congratulations to Gill and Tom and also Jennifer Cowan, Rumex' rider and producer.
"He has true breed characteristics and is forward going, but well behaved and very correct." Len Bigley [judge] as quoted in Horse and Hound 28/08/03
03/08/03 1st National Championship Show at the Shropshire and West Midlands Showground. A lovely venue and excellent organisation made this a very enjoyable experience. I took four ponies up in my lorry the night before and Adam and Callie took Seren on the morning of the show. It was good to see quality ponies forward in number for judge Mrs Libby Ashwin, Scrafton.
All the ponies went really well and we came back home with four lovely rosettes from the five ponies taken. In the barren mare class Seren was 3rd and Be 4th.
Cloe and Crusader were 5th in the Broodmare and Foal classes respectively and Millie [7th] was unlucky to miss out on a rosette in the 2/3yr old filly class. Special mention must go to Cloe, who was having only her second ever outing as a mare [the first was only the week before] and prior to that hadn't been shown since a yearling. She surprised us all, but especially Ray, with her turn of foot and enthusiasm for the job. Her 5th prize and the compliments from Mrs Ashwin brought tears to my eyes!
Many Thanks to Adam, Callie and Ray for all your help with the ponies and to the organisers and Mrs Ashwin for making it such an enjoyable experience!
27/07/03 Cotswold Medal Show. A lovely venue for a show and super atmosphere. Unfortunately Seren didn't impress Dr D J Meecham-Jones with her foot-perfect show, and she stood 6th in the barren mare or gelding class.
26/07/03 Blaenau Gwent Medal Show at Cwm Ebbw Vale. What a fantastic day!! All the ponies went really well, so well that Millie was second in a strong 2 and 3yr old class, Seren won and Cloe was second highest broodmare in the mare and gelding class, Crusader won the foal class on his first outing and Seren went on to be Reserve Champion to Chris and Marie Cobley's superb stallion Tryfel Birthday Boy! Many thanks to Mr Evans, Crumpwell, and also to Callie and Adam for showing the ponies. Special mention must also go to Carole, Tyntyla Stud, for all of her hard work in training Crusader. It certainly paid off!!!!!!
20-23/07/03 The Royal Welsh Show! Well, this was my first experience of having ponies at the Royal Welsh and it certainly taught me a lot! I made a lot of friends and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, even if the hill was a little tiring! On Tuesday Be went really well, shown expertly by Ray Hoskins, and although put in the back row, she earned several second looks from Mrs Price and was unlucky not to be retained for judging. On the Wednesday Mrs Price was again attracted to Millie but she remained in the back row. Charity, however, superbly shown by Mark Tamplin, was retained in the ring for judging of the HUGE yearling Filly class and narrowly missed a rosette!! I feel thrilled that at this my first attempt, I have succeeded in having ponies at the show that not only have attracted many admiring glances and favourable comments but also succeeded in having a pony retained for judging! Thanks must go to Ray and Mark but also to the breeders of the ponies concerned, namely Mrs G Farrow [Waitwith Charity], Miss Laura Hutchins [Bengad Moth Mullein] and the late Mr Arthur Schofield [Brabyns Glory Be].

In Good Company!
19/07/03 Seren made the long journey to The North of England In hand Show with Callie and Adam Fletcher, and despite an eventful 5 hour journey to the showground the day before, came out and won her class, qualifying for the Royal London ISS Show. It looks like she has carried on from where she left off as a youngster!! Unfortunately she is not entered for the Royal Welsh.

13/07/03 Charity made the journey to Bridgend Show with Mark and was third in a strong yearling filly class judged by Mr Price, Afan. A very good result when you realise that she had the beautiful Cwmhendy Bella and Paul Harper on one side and Mr Francis Goggins and Criccieth Eira on the other!! Now we can look forward to the Royal Welsh!!
05/07/03 Machen Show and Charity's first outing with Mr Mark Tamplin, after only two weeks on his yard! An absolutely thrilling day with Charity winning her class and going on to stand Champion section A under Mr Mitchell of Swansea. Thank you Mark for providing me with my first Championship!!!

07/06/03 Wales and Border Counties Show at Pencoed. A good day with well filled classes. Both ponies went well, even if Charity was a little bit hyped up!! Millie was third in the 2&3yr old class which was won by Pentyrch Tom Sawyer, and Charity was second in the yearling class to Joiners Smirnoff Ice, fresh from his medal winning performance at City of Swansea. D. Davies' Fairstoke Spring Solo was 3rd.
04/06/03 Cloe and Crusader have gone for a short holiday to Dukeshill Stud, where Cloe is visiting the multi medal winning Dukeshill Magnum. I am sure that Crusader will enjoy making new friends and playing with the Dukeshill foals. Many thanks to Kathy and Joanna Sheil at Dukeshill.
11/05/03 Carmarthenshire WPCS Spring Medal Show. Charity, Millie and Be travelled down to Carmarthen and waited half the day on the lorry for their classes due to my not finding the timetable on the back cover!!! All three ponies went very well but by the time I got to Be's class my knee was hurting too much to do her justice!!! Unfortunatelly they didn't impress Mrs Etheridge!
Be stopped off at Heniarth on the return journey to meet her new husband Heniarth Quip. Many thanks to Richard and Mei for accommodating Be and also for the hospitality!!
03/05/03 Glanusk Stallion Show- section A's judged by Mr Tim Pritchard, Castellau. Charity went quite well, shown by Sian Coulthard, to stand 11th, just missing out on a rosette. Thank you Sian!
21/04/03 Avon and Borders WPCS Spring Medal Show. Be and Charity made the trip to the Hand Equestrian Center. A good day as both ponies went well and were awarded seconds by Mrs Kathy Sheil of Dukeshill Stud.
19/04/03 Lampeter Stallion Show. After a clash of the section A and C yearling filly classes I showed Charity myself to stand tenth. Not an experience that I enjoyed or was prepared for, but still, we came away with a rosette!
05/04/03 The Cotswold Spring Medal Show [formerly Forest of Dean Stallion Show]. Our first show of the season! Charity was expertly shown by Adam Fletcher to stand 3rd in the yearling filly class. Thanks Adam for a good start to the season!
